Ultimate Cheeseburger Status: MEDIUM
Waking up sleepily, Genri walks into the bathroom. Splashing water on his face, he wonders why he looks so tired, with those rings under his eyes.
Wait a minute, those aren't rings, it's eyeshadow.
WTF?!! Then he remembers the night before, and slaps himself. Scrubbing his face countless times, he finally rids himself of the make-up, and changes into Goku, from Saiyuki! A new costume, Genri wanted to cosplay him since ACen, and now was his chance, with Gina being Sanzou! Securing the shoulder armor with velcro, they walked around the dealer's room. Genri had to undergo his greatest torture though - he had a cookie in his mouth, but it was for picture purposes, so he couldn't eat it! The horror!

After getting mobbed by a group of Saiyuki fans, Genri finally breaks down and eats the cookie whole, in an attempt to whet his appetite. Unfortunately, it seemed to make him hungrier, so the two trot off to the local cafe next to the dealer's room. At least Genri was being in-character! From there, he met up with his friend Frank, and the trio marched off to what would be one of the highlights of the weekend, the new 5 minute Vampire Hunter D trailer. With animation that was sheer bliss, the announcement of a showing in LA in August meant only one thing: ROADTRIP! But around this time, the velcro was starting to come loose, and his shoulder armor was in danger of falling off. This meant a trip back to the room, to secure with more velcro! |

Coming back down, Genri sees his friend Maryssa, dressed as Miki from Chrono Cross! Unfortunately, she has this look of pure evil directed at him, and he couldn't figure out why...until he remembered his promise the night before: "Chrono Cross at Friday afternoon? Serge will be there!"
This was coupled with the fact that his friends from Phoenix Seed passed by, and told him, "Dude, Tenken from iPlay is looking all over for you, cuz she's in her Kid costume!"
Genri - "Awww (#@))$#*&&$(!!!!"
Dashing back into his room, Genri pulls the quickest costume change of his life. In 10 minutes, he somehow makes his hair blue, arms himself, and runs back down as Serge! Fortunately, everybody was still there, though their Miki had run upstairs to play PPP. After "One Night in Arabia", Genri manages to drag her and her other friends down for Chrono Cross group shots.
About one hour later, when Tenken had to run off somewhere, Genri went back to his room. What should he find but his friends changing into King of Fighters! Cursing again, Genri hops into the shower, and turns his hair from blue to white, for Yashiro! The New Faces team makes their appearance once again, only this time in Orochi mode.

This year's KOF group was HUGE - there were so many cosplayers! Genri's twin, Dom, also made it to the group, and much to his delight, he was the only Shin Kyo there. They stood there for what seemed like forever, taking numerous group and goofy shots. At around 7, the group dispersed, but Genri was starting to feel hungry. He decided to hop into the shower again, turn his hair back to normal, and join his friends from #fansubs for some dinner at the Yard House. |
Following that, the rest of the night was pretty uneventful, mostly because Genri was in his room preparing props and practicing their skit. Wayne's friend Ben showed up with his Tuxedo Mask outfit, and by the end of the night, most of their skit was perfected. Be ready masquerade, MooN Sync is about to attack!
